I’m so excited to share this Charles B Wheeler Airport engagement shoot with you! When Mary Margaret told me their plans were to have their engagement session at this downtown Kansas City airport, I was ecstatic. Not only had I always dreamed of capturing an engagement shoot with an airplane, but this is also such a personalized location for Mary Margaret and Chaz.
You see, Chaz completed his pilot training in Kansas City at this airport and he proposed just right down the road at the Berkley Riverfront Park. It only seemed right to spend the morning together at both locations. All we needed was a borrowed plane, some incredible outfits and the most adorable couple. Luckily, we had all three!
If you live in Kansas City, you know the weather has been a bit unusual for August. Instead of lots of heat and humidity, we’ve been experiencing cool, fall like temperatures and a fair amount of rain. On the day before the shoot, this is exactly what the forecast was predicting. We had two options: reschedule or say some prayers and take a chance. We chose option number 2. Everyone prayed and we ended up with the most perfect foggy, cool and raindrop-free, blessed morning.
And just like our blessed morning, these two are a blessed couple. It’s apparent that they are silly about each other and that God has brought them together for this special union. In just a few short months, these two will be married.
Thank you for spending the morning with me Mary Margaret and Chaz! You are both so special and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for your marriage 🙂 Here’s a little peek into our sunrise airport engagement session.
