I pulled into Smithville Lake at 6:45 am. The birds were chirping and the sky was turning blue along the horizon. It was a crisp Spring morning and everything was covered from a fresh spring rain overnight. It was a peaceful morning for Meredith and Rhea’s engagement session.

Rhea proposed at Lake Como in Italy. What? Talk about romantic! But these two are more than just a perfect romantic story. They love traveling and adventure. They love hiking and spending time together outside. The more time I spent with Meredith and Rhea, the more I realized we were meant to be friends! What you see here are the most amazing classy outfits that they had picked out for their engagement session, but what you don’t see is their back up “mud boots” that they wore as we walked from one location to the next and that they pulled up in Rhea’s Subaru fit for exploring the mountains.

Meredith and Rhea are the perfect balance of “traveling explorer meets classy” and I am so excited to celebrate with them at their May wedding at Powell Gardens. Here’s a preview of their amazing Smithville Lake engagement session!
