Jen had been anxiously awaiting her proposal from Brian. Brian knew she was expecting it, so a vacation or special night out would have been too obvious. He knew he had to figure out something unique; something that would take her by surprise. Each time they traveled or had an event, she found herself wondering, “could this be the one?”

Jen and Brian share so many things in common being that they are both teachers (at the same school), and one of their favorite activities is heading out to the gun range together for target shooting. Brian had a plan though; this time would be completely different.

Brian told Jen they needed to take some friends to the range to “help them out” on some shooting skills. With some help from the range and his friends, Brian had the perfect plan. When the target rotated around, it read: “Will you marry me Jen?” Now THAT was a surprise! Totally unexpected and a perfect place and perfect time for these two. While I sure wish I could have been there to capture the look on her face that day, I was lucky enough to be able to capture the next best thing… their engagement session.

I pulled down the driveway that put me right in the center of the vineyard and I instantly knew why Jen and Brian picked the winery as their engagement session location. Isinglass Estate is not only a serene setting, but also a special place for these two. Located only a few miles from where they live, this is where they spend many of their summer evenings. On the patio… sipping wine… and looking out at the stunning 100 acre scenery.

And that’s exactly what they got to do at their engagement session. They sipped some wine, enjoyed the scenery and we all took a stroll through the vineyard. It was laid back, fun and the light was amazing.

Jen and Brian, thank you for letting me spend the evening with you at this amazing winery! I had so much fun and can’t wait for your big day! Here’s a little preview of our evening together.
