Jordan and Doug planned their summer wedding to take place in downtown Kansas City at the Vox Theatre, and thanks to all of the incredible vendors involved the day was flawless from start to finish. Every single detail was carefully thought out and designed. This is what happens when you have a bride and groom with great taste and a group of vendors who are so excited to serve their clients well.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is that we not only get to be a part of the wedding, but we also get to be “official” observers. Jordan and Doug’s wedding day was no different. We loved seeing how their families interacted with each other, and what stuck out to us most about this day is how Jordan and Doug’s families seemed like they were truly participating in the joining of two lives. All afternoon they hugged each other, cried together, and gushed joy over this amazing wedding celebration.
When I think of marriage; I think of how in ancient biblical tradition the marriage ceremony would always begin with a great celebration with the bridegroom, the bride, their friends, and family. The rejoicing that would happen on this day was a beautiful example of how the union of a man and wife was sacred to God.
The day after the wedding, Jordan texted me and said “Thank you so much for everything yesterday. The whole day was perfect”. That’s just the type of people they are. They are kind and grateful and show their thankfulness to those around them, even in the midst of a busy wedding weekend.
Jordan and Doug, I want to thank you for letting us be such a big part of your special day. We are so excited to share a few of our favorites with you!
