A few weeks ago, we packed our camera gear and headed to one of our favorite wedding venues in Kansas City, Executive Hills Polo Club. You might remember Regan and Mike’s engagement session last fall at Spruce Mountain in Colorado. Regan and Mike made their way back to Kansas City and as excited as we were to see them again, they were even more excited that their wedding day had finally arrived.
Just like their engagement session, the weather on their wedding day was perfect. The sun was shining, everything was perfectly on schedule, and the day was full of happy tears and celebration. This was such a gift considering it was a year with a pandemic, one of which many weddings were affected by.
Our favorite part of the day had to be the toasts. This is always a favorite for us during weddings because not only do we get to hear hilarious stories about our couples, but we also get to hear some of the most heartfelt speeches that highlight the amazing character of our couples, and this one was no different. It was no surprise to hear about all of the lives Regan and Mike have touched. Every person that gave a toast at this reception painted a picture of caring, compassionate and loving people that grew up to find each other.
Regan and Mike, thank you again for allowing us to come all the way to you for your engagement session. We are also so happy you came all the way to us for your wedding, and that you are now locals. We are so honored to have been able to capture these memories for you. Congratulations again and we wish you so much happiness!
