Sasha & Nathan | Mount Evans Engagement

Posted in: Engagements

We are so excited to share Sasha and Nathan’s Mount Evans romantic wintery shoot with you! We had been brainstorming ideas for this engagement session for awhile. Sasha said, “I’ve always wanted a snowy engagement shoot. It would be fun to get something really unique.” I responded with, “we may not be able to catch the snow this early in the year, but maybe we could travel somewhere fun like to the Colorado mountains for something really unique” And so begins the story of our travels to Colorado for this engagement shoot….

We arrived on a beautiful fall day for our trip. We made it in on a Tuesday and planned to meet up with Sasha and Nathan on Thursday for their sunset shoot. The temperatures were mild. I checked the forecast and it was just what I expected. Most of the days were forecasted as partly cloudy with 50-60 degree temperatures. And then something happened… I saw Thursday’s forecast. Smack dab in the middle of the 7 days of beautiful weather was a forecast predicting a high of 23 degrees and… wait for it… 4-6” of snow.

“Even though the wind chill was probably zero”

So my next thought was, “Could this really be happening? Were Sasha and Nathan going to get the snowy engagement session of their dreams?” We managed to schedule their session on the absolute perfect day for this wintry adventure. And even though the wind chill was probably zero and we couldn’t feel our fingers or toes, we were all soaking up the amazing timing for this session.

Sasha and Nathan, we will be forever grateful that you took us to Colorado for this snow filled engagement session. We had so much fun adventuring with you through the mountains. Here’s a little peek into your engagement session!
